You are a promise keeper! And a poem keeper. A much-missed sender of a delightful dispatch about a darling donkey. We await your next devotion. Thanks for making our holiday.

My heart has been blown open many times while in Ireland. Swans in the Liffey and at St. Stephen’s Green do that for me. And the wild West Coast. What a line, what a poem, such a poet.

Enjoy Patmos.

Postscript — an absorbing ‘afterthought’ to the dynamic and power of a moment. This poem became my prayer this morning. Thank you, Pádraig.

Short, sweet and enough to warm my heart. There is so much that could be said about our current state of independence, it is best to just go to the beach and rest. Thank you.

Patmos. One day, when I had too much to do, I went there for a meal, met the donkey, and memorised Seamus Heaney’s poem “Postscript” over lunch:

"You are neither here nor there, / A hurry through which known and strange things pass"

Enough said, just so.🙈

Postscript is one of my go-to "remind me I'm a human but also nature." There is a great recording on YouTube of the actress Fiona Shaw reading Postscript + a ramshackle group of great Irish musicians performing the Parting Glass https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YpOWFbATBc.

What a lovely reminder to slow down and notice. The flow of living in the moment knowing there is ample time to do whatever is best.

"You are neither here nor there" calls to mind Blue Rose Code's song "You're Here and Then You're Gone." I revisited it yesterday via a replay of your conversation with Ross Wilson at the 2020 Solas Festival. You recited "What I needed to hear" - a poem very dear. That song and your poem part of BRC's June concert in Glasgow. Readers, immerse in this beauty for yourselves on Bandcamp.

Thank you Kate for this gift. I listened while watching the raindrops on the branches of the cedar, now caught in the morning sun, winking through all the colours of the rainbow. You are here and you are gone.

Melissa, thank you for listening and for sharing your observations of surroundings. Your 'here' is very much there.

A poem that I have also memorized as it is so aspirational.
